Ingredients:
- 227g unsalted butter,cut into pieces
- 227g dark chocolate chopped (about 60%)
- 1 cup (200g) brown sugar
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (135g) all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups (200g) pecans and walnuts(optional)
You will also need:
A 9×13 x2-inch baking pan, buttered and lined with parchment paper.
Metod:
- Preheat the oven
Set your oven rack to the middle and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). - Melt the butter and chocolate
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it starts to sizzle and becomes very hot. Remove it from the heat and add the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for about a minute, then whisk until the chocolate is completely smooth. - Mix the dry ingredients
In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, flour, and salt. Mix on medium speed for 2–3 minutes until the mixture becomes fine and powdery. - Add eggs and vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract. - Combine the mixtures
Remove the bowl from the mixer and gently fold in the warm butter and chocolate mixture until fully combined. Fold in ¾ of the nuts if you are using them. - Prepare for baking
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle the remaining nuts over the surface. - Bake
Bake for about 40 minutes, until the brownies are slightly firm and no longer liquid in the center. - Cool before cutting
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a rack. For best results, wrap the cooled brownies and wait until the next day before cutting, as they are very soft when freshly baked.
If you’re short on time, cool them in the refrigerator for a few hours before cutting into 2-inch squares.
To make it extra nutty add pecan nuts.
Garnish Tips:
On the top of your brownies drizzle them with some melted chocolate and adda sprinkle of almond flakes.
